OUR EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM

The year was 1965.  The place was Phoenix, Arizona and the event was revolutionary. Realty Executives was founded by Dale Rector under the concept, now widely copied, of an “agent-centric” real estate brokerage.  The Company is named for the professional real estate agent - the Executive.  Now, over 40 years later, the Realty Executives’ global network includes Realty Executives franchises located around the world in over 15 countries.

In 1973, Realty Executives opened its first Southern Arizona office in Tucson.  Now, with over 400 Executives, the locally owned Realty Executives Southern Arizona franchise has 12 offices located in Tucson, Oro Valley, Green Valley, Sonoita, and Tubac, with two new offices opening in 2009.

Under the innovative stewardship of Chief Executive Officer Anthony Azar, Realty Executives Southern Arizona has become a full y operational home services company, offering home loan services through Redington Home Loans, LLC, a joint relationship with Wells Fargo Home Loans, title policy protection with Catalina Title Agency, and home protection plans through a marketing relationship with American Home Shield.

 

Anthony Azar, Chief Executive Officer

Anthony brings his experience as an entrepreneur in diversified industries such as contract manufacturing, banking, and finance to his role as Chief Executive Officer. Anthony manages the company's strategic endeavors including affiliated business arrangements (e.g. mortgage, title, insurance, etc.), mergers and acquisitions, and new technology. In a recent interview Anthony said, “We are fully committed to making sure the experience of working with our company is above and beyond the expectations of our Executives and the clients they serve.”

Sue Cartun, Chief Operating Officer / Designated Broker

Sue's successful sales background preceded her position as Chief Operating Officer and Designated Broker.  Named as one of "500 Most Powerful Women in Real Estate" by National Relocation and Real Estate Magazine, Sue is often asked to speak on real estate topics and related technology. Sue served as President of the Tucson Association of Realtors® and Director for the Arizona Association of Realtors®.  She currently serves on additional industry boards. She carries several real estate designations including Certified Internet Professional (e-Pro), and Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). “My purpose is to help our Executives differentiate themselves and excel," said Sue recently.  “Many of our Executives have years more experience and education than the average licensee. After listening very carefully, they use those qualities to achieve their clients’ dreams of homeownership and goals of real estate investing.”

Nancy Colvin, Managing Broker


Nancy brings 17 years of real estate sales experience to the table as Managing Broker. Having been out in the field ‘in the trenches’ as an agent and Associate Broker, she understands the challenges Executives face on a daily basis. She attributes her success in real estate to excellent role models willing to share their knowledge, wisdom and time.  Nancy adds the element of ‘Servant Leadership’ to her role, sharing what she has learned from others and through her own experiences. “I now have the opportunity to give back to other Executive agents what was so invaluable to me in my business.”  Her passion is in helping agents achieve their business goals through sharing ideas, promoting training and education at all levels and accountability.  “I truly believe that the more we share…the more we grow…, in our business and on a personal level.”  In addition, having previously served on TAR’s Risk Management and Forms committees, Nancy will be a great resource for all of the Executives in our company.

Jen Hess, eCommerce Director/Customer Service

Jen graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts in 2002. Upon graduation, Jen was offered the position of Marketing Coordinator. Jen was soon promoted to Marketing Director and began to build the Marketing Department. She established many valuable relationships with a myriad of media outlets, and has helped provide a variety of technology and marketing services to the company’s over 400 Executives. In 2010, Jen accepted the new title of eCommerce Director as part of the Customer Service department. With her background in marketing, expertise in website development and social media, she will now head up the company’s internet business.

Kenya Craven, Career Development Director

Kenya came to Realty Executives Southern Arizona with seven years experience in property and retail management.  Over the last four years, she has been an integral part of over 300 agents’ decisions to make a change and bring their businesses to the next level, the Executive Level.   “I’ve watched agents double their production after making a move to Realty Executives Southern Arizona. Our Executives are offered advanced tools and superior support.”  Making a move to a new company is both exciting and overwhelming; the Career Development Department provides support and ensures a smooth transition. Cheryl Terpening,  Executive Training Director

Cheryl’s accomplishments are hard to match.  She has been actively involved at the local, state and national level of Realtor® Associations and was the Women’s Council of Realtors® President in 2000.  In 2004 she was invited to be a guest speaker at the NAR Housing Summit in Washington D.C.  Most recently, Cheryl completed extensive training to become a Certified Mentor for Brain Buffini’s 100 Days to Greatness Program. Cheryl is an Associate Broker with the company and holds several designations, including the Accredited Buyer’s Representative, ABR, Certified Residential Special, CRS, Graduate Real Estate Institute, GRI, Leadership Training Graduate, LTG, and Professional Management Network, PMN.  As Executive Training Director, Cheryl ensures that our Executives entering the real estate industry receive the education and support necessary to be successful.  She also provides ongoing coaching to Executives who want to increase their business and move to a higher level. “My goal is to help Executives become all they can be by providing the tools and guidance necessary to develop and build a successful business.”

Renee Williams, Director of Executive Relations

Renee has 25 years of experience in the real estate industry starting her career with Realty Executives as a secretary from 1983 to 1985 with Realty Executives of Casa Grande and from 1985 to 1998 she worked for Realty Executives of Tucson as the Administrative Assistant. In 1998 she left the company to pursue a family and has recently returned to Realty Executives Southern Arizona in January 2008.  She is also the Designated Broker for Realty Executive’s sister company, Referral Executive Realty. Renee is particularly knowledgeable about issues regarding licensing laws and regulations, and Realtor® Association rules and procedures. Her professionalism, customer service focus, and attention to detail, not to mention her winning personality, make her a highly qualified and invaluable resource for our Executives.
